Samue Harime-soroe 作務衣 針目そろえ

作務衣が仕上がり,

5月連休中の藍の美展にも

出展しました。

絞りの技法は、針目そろえ.

Finally, samue is ready to wear.

The dyeing process finished two weeks ago, and

it was displayed at the Indigo Dyed Exhibition

during Golden Week.

作務衣は、昔はお坊さんの作業着。

今では、居酒屋や和風レストランでも

ウエイターやウエイトレスが着たり、

部屋着としても人気がありますね。


Samue used to be a work clothing for Buddihist monks.

Recently it has become popular among people.

Some people wear at restaurants to work.

Some wear at home to relax.

私も、畑仕事用に・・・作ったのですが、

汚すのはもったいなくって・・・。

でも、藍染の服は農作業にぴったりと聞いているので

試してみたい。

虫が近寄らないとか、

泥がついてもすぐ落ちるとか、

う～ん、

やっぱりもったいない・・

しまっておくのも、

もったいないなぁ。

I dyed it for my work clothing at my farm,

but it is too good for everyday to wear it at the muddy farm.

On the other hand, I want to make sure that

indigo dyed items prevent insects

and stains in my farm.





ところで、

完成した作務衣の写真ですが、

瘦せた私が着ると、

なんだかハンガーに服をかけたようになってしまいます。



By the way,

I don't have any the image of my samue

because I am too skinny to wear it.

It looked like being hung on a hanger, when I wear samue.
